Just made a sandwich and realized I was out of lettuce so I used fresh cabbage
instead. It tasted just as good or better and was probably more healthy.

Well, that was my sweet tweet for this year. Cheers!

1. My dear Quixote1818!
Well, that's an interesting combo...

Was it a red cabbage?

The green ones aren't that sweet, IIRC...

:hi:

2. No, it was green. I like to make Cabbage Stew.
Cheers Peggy

3. Well, I am working in Puerto Rico this month
and probably the most popular sandwich shop on the island, the El Messon, serves nothing but fresh cabbage on their sandwiches. My fav is the hot pastrami with cabbage and mustard.

4. Well, sauerkraut is cabbage.
And what would our hot dogs and Reuben sandwiches be without it?

6. Cabbage is so versatile.

I love it as cole slaw, sauerkraut, shredded and cooked in beer with apples. And now I learn a new way to use it. Thanks.
