So what music have you been listening to lately?
I've heard these full albums:

Hana Pestle - This Way (BIG thumbs up! I highly recommend this singer/songwriter. All of the songs are good, but the biggest standouts are "Never Learned to Lie,” "Red Death Ball," "Rain," "This Way," "Lilly of the Lake" and "Make You Hurt".)

Jemina Pearl - Break It Up (I'm not a Be Your Own Pet fan, but I love this - it's more power pop/new wave)

Tim McGraw - Southern Voice (a big thumbs down from me. Very little passion and just seems churned out by the Nashville machine. Usually like his stuff, but this album just doesn't work.)

TV on the Radio - Dear Science (Definite thumbs up!)

Lights - The Listening (Another thumbs up!)

Beatles - White Album (I'm sure most here already know how much I love it)

And I've heard some samples (including from the new Flaming Lips CD, which I don't think I would like.)

2. I've been listening to the Phoenix "station" on Pandora. So Phoenix, Whitest Boy Alive,
Grand Nationals, Artic Monkeys, Strokes... I'm blanking out on what else.

I heart Pandora.

5. Have you heard the entire new Phoenix album?
I have heard it at Rhapsody (they give you 25 free song listens a month.) It's great IMO, and I'd like to buy it soon. :hi:

7. No, but I think I'm going to buy it. I've like everything I've heard.
And that is why I love Pandora. It's introduced me to so much music that I don't have time to discover on my own anymore. Seems like I had a lot more time for that when I was in high school and college. :hi:

Real Punk Radio (internet radio through Itunes) - great to hear some Mr. T Experience

10. Thanks for the rec., tigereye!
Not much new. Complaining about the Eagles' out-of-sync offense. Not doing much for Halloween except for watching Ghost Adventures' live show on the 30th. GhostHunters are not doing one. Hope everything is good with you. :hi:

There is no reason - none - to lose to the Raiders. I know the refs were one-sided, but we still played terribly. The Eagles will probably have a mediocre record but not bad enough to make that front office realize they need wholesale changes. I don't have much hope for the season. Felt like a Redskins fan. :hi:

14. Leonard Cohen, live in London
He is the best at 75, love" I'm Your Man!" He has gotten better with age, discovered him some 30 years ago and have been a fan since. He also has several books of his poems and lyrics published. Wonderful lyricist!

15. TV On the Radio kicks major amounts of ass.
As much as I love the Flaming Lips I've had a hard time getting into Embryonic.

As for me I've been playing the new Converge, Dethklok, and lots of live Zeppelin lately.

16. Joan Baez since the PBS story on her last week
and many of her contemporaries like Dylan, CSNY, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins etc.
Their music seems to fit the times we are in again.

17. A few songs
There hasn't been a CD I've been listening to lately. Mostly listening to individual songs.

"3" by Britney

"Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. The offical version hasn't been released yet but there's leaked versions on youtube. I love the song.

I've been watching the new show "Glee" and listen to some of their songs. A few songs, like "Take A Bow," I like better than the original (didn't like Rihanna's version).
