(I sure as hell can't measure up to my 25 y.o. self) but damn! I think they're great still and I woud MUCH rather hear a tired WHo than a some "new and fresh" pop star!

8. Farve still had top 5 stats
If he should have retired before this season what does it say about almost all of the other starting QBs who didn't play as well?

11. Won't Get Fooled Again...

...sounded pretty mangled, but overall, they were OK. Townshend was especially sloppy, IMO. Ringo's son, the drummer, is no Keith Moon, but, who is? I suspect Zak will suffer the same fate as his father, that of being an under-rated drummer, overshadowed by his "peers."

I know a lot of people think they (and other old 60s rock "icon" brands) should hang it up, but, they are entitled to play until they drop. For better or worse.

ON EDIT: I say "brands" intentionally, as "The Who" is a brand more than it is a real band.

12. I didn't realized that was Ringo's son.
Edited on Sun Feb-07-10 08:52 PM by GoCubsGo
Yeah, he's no Keith Moon. On the other hand, now that I know that he's Ringo's son, and not just some guy who got the job in a try-out, for some reason, I feel a wee bit better seeing him there. I have to admit that seeing him weirded me out a bit. It was the hair. It reminded me of a young Moon. Meanwhile, Roger and Pete are old. And The Ox is gone. Is is just me, or did the current bassist look like a young Pete Townsend? When I saw him at first, I thought the young Pete was back. Then I saw Pete... I feel so old.

I agree with you that they should be able to play until they drop. And, Roger may look old, but his voice hasn't aged a bit. More power to 'em.

15. I'm an old punk rocker...
Edited on Sun Feb-07-10 09:21 PM by GReedDiamond
...still punk rocking. It's really sort of ridiculous, but it's a part of (my) life. Even without the lure of big money, I do it because I can. And it's not just punk, it's now more "Americana," or something.

17. it looked like Townsend's son, didn't it? I don't know much about his kids,
but I'm pretty sure he fathered some.

19. It IS his son!

Just looked it up. Wow! He's actually playing rhythm guitar. The bassist is Pino Palladio, who reminds me of Clapton. In fact, he played with Clapton and a lot of other notable artists/groups. He sounds like a very worthy person to take Entwistle's spot.
