If curling is an Olympic "sport"
then isn't bocce ball an Olympic sport?

I mean, wouldn't it be cool to have octogenarian "athletes" on TV cursing in Italian?

4. It ought to be.
Participants have to be better looking, and still move well. That ought to earn extra points, or something. Extra viewers, thus more advertising $$, in any event. Which is, after all, what it is all about, isn't it?

10. Even though I find ice dancing boring, it requires
a lot of skill to be in unison with someone doing all that footwork and not tripping all over one another.

11. Oh, it certainly requires skill; no argument there
My objection to it as an Olympic event is that it's judged as opposed to scored. But like American Idol, it's insanely popular. Perhaps because it's so subjective and controversial.

3. The people running the Winter Olympics
obviously have more of a sense of humor than do those who are running the Summer games.

I'm with you. Bocce should be an Olympic sport. If that thing, whatever it is called, with people dancing around waving long cloth streamers is considered a "sport", then Bocce ought to be as well.

7. I'm with you.
Bocce would be a very cool Olympic sport. It's fun to play, and fun to watch.

It's about time cursing, elderly Italians had an international audience.
