Half Dome right now


well, not exactly right now any more, but a few minutes ago.
From one of the webcams and I did some manipulation of the brightness.

did you see the "natural firefall" (Horsetail Fall on El Capitan illuminated by the setting sun?

4. I saw the last firefall; the Glacier Point Hotel burning in 1969.

It illuminated the whole opposite wall of Yosemite.

Same summer I went to Woodstock.

5. I've seen photos my friends have...(lucky Fers)
I seem to miss it. It was a couple days before I got there. But you roll the dice. It is so beautiful right now. Nobody there at all.....More people working than visiting. No big hoardes of tour bussers (Boat people). I ahd a friend from Philly with me and he was blown even though he hardly ever saw the top of the valley....
