My new pound puppy just got her ass kicked by my cat
she is sweet but reminds me of Odie. well, my fatcat Grayson, who looks like Garfield, had enough of her shenanigans. she has been here a week, and thinks it is fun to bark incessantly at the cats.
I guess Grayson was sleeping and had had enough.

He just lifted up his paw and WHAP. across the nose.

she came flying over to me with a yelp.

I told her "well, honey, that is what you get when you mess with an old cat."

she is learning.

(this is my cheap entertainment,.)

1. And so the young pup is schooled by the old master
in the proper Order of Things.

2. My now 8 year old dog had the same thing happen to her.
She was 2 months old and being a puppy thought cats for fun to play with.

The cats taught her otherwise.

One young cat did play with her after that.

The cats must have had a meeting.

3. My Pit Bull pup learned that the hard way too.
My sisters cat shows no fear.

Not of this anyway.

6. HA!
I clicked on your reply & Orchid perked up her ears, cocked her head, then sniffed at the cat wagging it's tail in your sig line.

Gave it a kiss too.

5. My favorite thing about having critters is watching them work out their relationships.
They do such a good job most of the time; it's the chained and neglected and abused that don't know how to figure it all out.

People too.

7. It took a couple of bloody scratches on his nose for my German Shepherd to learn tostop chasing
the kitties, I never witnessed it, but saw the bloody results. :(
I was just glad he never got scratched on his eye...

Now they get along wonderfully.

9. Our four cats
cornered our new housemates Rottie and taught him to play nice.
It was pretty funnie.
He thought he had one of them cornered.
Wrong.
He learned.
Even old MamaCat took part in the lesson. At 15 years of age she spends all of her time eating and sleeping.
Not this time.

The other dogs in the house sat back and watched it all.
I think they were having a deja vu moment.
