Had a boring time yesterday.

My Mom kept twisting my arm, and I finally gave in.
My uncle and aunt had a combination 61rst wedding anniversary and my aunt's 80th birthday party.

Lots of my Mom's relatives I haven't seen in years.
I was bored half to death.

I like them, I mean I have no gripes with any of them.
But it was just hours of sitting or standing around, making small talk.

Family parties.
My sister throws a good one in October each year.
The "white elephant gift exchange" ends up with everyone laughing their heads off.
