Facebook pet peeve: "Like"
Edited on Fri Jun-25-10 01:53 PM by supernova
Clicking the "Like" button should NOT be synonymous with being willing to receive update posts from said "Likes" as if they are your BFFs.

1. In that case,
there should be a "ya know" button, so everything reads 'like' a Valley Girl :P

2. Smarty pants
:P

In ads on FB, there is a little thumbsup Like button underneath the ad. You can click it, or not, to show that you like/support said person/organization/food item/candy/ etc.

But then that entity's updates start showing up in your news feed. It's very annoying and distracting.

I've downsized my feed to just real updates from my friends.

5. Whenever it's up and running, I may consider joining Diaspora

I'm not an FB user, though I am on LinkedIn for employment purposes and recently started writing a blog (for personal purposes) :)

4. Everyday pet peeve: People who use the word "like" every three words when
they talk.

And each sentence ends with "Ya know what I mean?" or "Ya know what I'm sayin?"

14. You can hide their updates.
Just mouse over the update you don't like, and click the "Hide" button.
