D E A T H
I will be 52 soon.

I welcome it.

Done all I want to do and seen all I want to see.

Everyday, people disillusion me.

Seems to me, people fuck you six ways to Sunday.

So there are animals that are left, and they will always be around.

People ain't nice. Seriously, it's all words and bullshit. When the going gets tough, the tough get lost.

I've pretty much had enough.

2. L I F E
I will be 59 soon.

My job makes me so tired. It's very physical work, caring for old people, I come home aching and moan "I'm too old for this shit." But at the same time they make me feel so young. I would miss that if I quit.

Paradoxes, contradictions, everywhere you turn.

3. This will pass, you know.
I'm only 48, but I've been around long enough to know that things change. Here are a few truths for you:

Some people are very nice. Some people are assholes. Most people are sometimes nice, and sometimes assholes.

Every generation generates geniuses. Given that the population of the world keeps increasing, that means more people are alive today than ever before. It's possible that the smartest human who ever lived is alive today.

You are wiser today than you were five years ago and five years from now, you'll be wiser still. That's a comforting thought.

Either you don't want to restore freedom to Americans or you think we never lost it, because you say you've done all you want to do.

Some people like you; I'm one of them and there are at least dozens (if not hundreds) more in the Lounge. I believe there are people close to you who love you, even though you irritate them.

This will pass! Take a deep breath, reflect on what a joke human life is for all of us, and find something useful to do so you aren't miserable. Please.

4. I'll tell you what, LFP
We need to buck this "people are fuckfaces" trend here. This just ain't working for me and I don't think it is for you, either. I mean, I don't know what happened, but something very bad evidently has happened. Sure there are assholes in the world, and some people just plain don't give a shit, but not everyone out there is looking to fuck you over. For example, I'm not, and I don't think that you are either. So here we have two honest people and they are members of some obscure website that 99.9999% of the population has never heard of. If we were the only two decent people on the planet, what are the odds that we'd be here talking to each other? 1 in 3 billion? Something like that. If that were the case we ought to start investing in lottery tickets.

I don't know, maybe you are just in a bad spot right now and maybe somebody just totally dicked you over in the worst way, but the world isn't really that bad of a place. There really are good people out there. I know some of them.

I'll be 62 next month.

I musta cried gallons of tears in my lifetime  but I haven't given up on love or life yet.

It ain't over! It's just that some nights are better than others.

Believe in yourself instead of others and you will be far less dissapointed in life...

just sayin

10. Archer is on Hulu now.
If you haven't watched it, it is so inane, it is funny as hell. Here is a link, I hope it cheers you up for a bit. http://www.hulu.com/archer

From Wikipedia: Set at the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS), suave master spy Sterling Archer deals with global espionage; a domineering, hypersexual, late middle-aged mother/boss, Malory Archer; his ex-girlfriend, Agent Lana Kane; her ISIS accountant boyfriend Cyril Figgis; and a less-than-masculine code name—"Duchess".<7>

The series itself is comparable to Reed's former shows for Adult Swim, Frisky Dingo and Sealab 2021, in a series driven by rapid-fire dialogue and interaction-based drama. The series also features an anachronistic style: using fashion from the 1960s, technology that is a mix of '80s era computer technology alongside modern technology, and an alternate universe style political status quo in the form of the Soviet Union still being active in the year 2010.

12. The Final Frontier.....these are the voyages of the Starship Mortality.
It's multi-year mission: to boldly go where countless billions have gone before.

Seriously though, sorry you're feeling this way. I'd give you advice, but if I knew how to beat depression I wouldn't suffer from it myself. I was disillusioned by people by the age of 15, and that hasn't changed in the slightest bit. I've pretty much had enough as well, but "pretty much" isn't "completely", so we're still here.

I won't feed you any platitudes about things getting better for you. They may, they may not. Stick around and find out. Life, it's the only game in town.

Hope things look up for you soon.
