1. Thanks for the wake-up music
Southern Culture on the Skids is an incredibly underrated band.

Beneath the chicken wing flinging and the big hair lurk three seriously talented musicians.

3. This is the first I'd heard of them, and I have to say
that I agree with you completely.

I'm thinkin' I'll keep an eye and an ear out for them now that I know...

2. Great band.
I have yet to see them live though, which is a bummer.

7. 25 years since I saw them live the first time
Thanks for making me feel really, really old.

Those shows they used to do at St A's and La Terraza were epic.

4. Yes, great band.
Also, real nice folks.

Especially Rick the guitar player.

After a show one night, he politely endured my questions about his guitars and we talked shop for nearly an hour.

6. Oh yeah.
Luvs me some Banana Puddin'.

Yummy for your tummy and its the subject of my favorite old Hee-Haw joke:

Pretty blonde girl says, "Hey Jr., whisper something soft and sweet in my ear."

Jr. Samples leans in and whispers,"Nanner puddin'."
