bedtime stories....how i made cookies for ghw bush

hello children gather around ...get all comfy i will tell a story and i swear its true
you know your uncle swampie always tells the truth dont you?
ok

once in the late 80s there was a president named reagan who had a vice president named ghw bush
reagan was strong and manly and filled the people with a sense of confidence
but bush was nerdy and whipthin which hid a natural killers instincts bred into him by his fathers fascination with eugenics which he learned at the foot of hitler himself and put to work by the governments dark side as head of the CIA.
but that is a different story and by telling it out of sequence we know how it came out
im sorry kids...
anyway i was employed at the ramada inn north in tallahassee florida as a line cook and house baker
our owners,staunch supporters of the evil florida state seminoles and reagan worshippers and when bush workers asked for a fundraiser they were happy to make me oblige
all night long i worked to make the cookies
creating an unseen cookie the fudgey chocolatyness of which created a dark hole of chocolate
where until consumed,no flavor could escape
i ran home and slept briefly and returned to work
it was your uncle swampies day off and he was going to get a close look at a vice president of the united states
i ran full speed into doors which in my knowledge had never been locked
they were locked and i bounced off
seconds later the door opened
"do you have business here sir?" i was asked by what could only be described as a classic Man In Black
rising from the ground i informed him i was the baker and he took my id and found my name on one sheet of several
"you dont work today "he said clearly not a question
"no"i replied"its my day off because i was here til 4 am baking cookies for the VP"
"yes you are a baker "he confirmed "but why are you here?your name is not on the list and i cant let you in"
"i was here all night making cookies and i cant even get a tiny peek?i invented a freaking cookie just for this specific occasion.a double fudge walnut chocolate chip cookie"i said "those cookies have never existed before and never will again... they are almost art"
"well" he said "i dont know art but i do know YOU are not on the list so please go"
and he slammed the door
in my face
i stood there sifting info
trying to take it in i mean.....its the secret service....you dont win a shout down with those guys
i stood there agoggle
and the the door opened
"the cookies? "he said"you made the dark chocolate cookies?"
"yes "i answered "i made about 6 dozen of them"
"supervisor asked me to let you know how good those cookies are.he loved them"
and slammed the door again

ok kids lights out and if you are good i will tell you about the night we sat governor graham and governor martinez next to each other after an ugly election cycle
