I wonder if Iron Chef is rigged
I'm watching the latest Iron Chef. The challenger selected Morimoto who is a fish master. What's the secret ingredient? Pacific Cod.

The last episode the challenger selected Bobby Flay who is a southwestern master. Secret ingedient? Plantains

And I've seen Morimoto get fish in his challenges other times. It's a little suspicious.

1. My guess is that they tell them the secret ingredient in advance
Giving Morimoto cod is like T-ball.

3. Apparently, they do tell the guest chef the secret ingredient the night before..
or a bit before.

Don't remember where I heard or read this, though.

4. There is a bit of a head start

I saw a behind the scenes type of show and they said that the ingredient is revealed 15 minutes before the start of the hour to cook. Also if you notice the chefs only are shown plating one of each of the dishes and then they show the chairman and the 3 judges eating.

At the end of the hour the chefs need to have one of each of the plates ready to go, they then have an additional 45 minutes to complete the remaining 3 plates needed for the judges.

5. Heard something along those lines but what I'd heard
was that when they tape the show they do the secret ingrediant part twice like 15 minutes or so apart.

Ever wonder why they seem to be able to know what they want to cook that quickly.

6. Interesting that the Iron Chefs in most cases wins!
The judges are rigged - they have their favorites and vote for them. I can tell during the time that those who are cooking the results. My confirmation is the comments by the over fed spoiled judges. They need to bring judges on the show that know little regarding the Iron Chefs. I thing Bobby Flay especially has it in the bag before the food is prepared. I would like to see the Iron Chefs change.
