Anything weird happen on your birthday?
Edited on Tue Aug-03-10 07:39 PM by Archae
Either the exact day or some other year?

I found out that exactly 100 years before I was born, John Brown was executed.
Same day. Just 100 years earlier.

I'm not sure this qualifies, but every now and then, Thanksgiving coincides with my birthday! I love having pumpkin pie w/a candle in it!

5. I don't think it's weird what happens, but most find it obscene. Some grotesque.
And many a protester has called it an abomination.

7. Charles Darwin rides horse to Buenos Aires
At least that is what happened in 1833 on my birthday, if I believe the site

http://www.brainyhistory.com/events.html

Many fun things happened on my birthday! 1973-Billy Jean King beats Bobby Riggs in battle-of-sexes tennis match
1884-Equal Rights Party nominates female candidates for President and Vice President
1932-Gandhi begins hunger strike against treatment of untouchables

This is fun.

18. Hey thanks - there is some good stuff here
Good idea:
1931 Round-robin playoff among New York City's 3 major league teams, to raise money for unemployed, concludes with Brooklyn losing to both Giants and Yankees
(maybe we should do that today?)

1838 Anti-Corn-Law League forms to repeal English Corn Law
(Must've been bad law)

366 Liberius ends his reign as Catholic Pope (has benedict been around that long?)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This site is a hoot.

What an appalling thing for your dad to do...

And to find nothing on Google? Damn.

Perhaps your birthday was a quiet, happy day for our world...
