Maple bacon and egg sandwich on mac and cheese pancakes
The Mo'betta from Shopsin's

If you thought that the Sneaky Pete was delicious feast your eyes on Shopsin's Mo'betta--a maple bacon and egg sandwich on mac and cheese pancakes. Oh yeahhhhhh...

This, my friends, is the king of breakfast sandwiches. Maple bacon and eggs on pancakes? And mac & cheese pancakes at that--it' down right inspired. Add just a touch of maple syrup and you have sweet and salty perfection.

New York, NY 10002

1. Many years ago (college), maple-cured bacon was cooked in our apartment
and the sickening maple smell would not leave. It must have penetrated every soft surface in the place. Months later, you could still smell it.

3. The mac & cheese pancake is a dealbreaker for me - not a big m&c fan anyway,
and it just doesn't sound like a useful improvement on pancakes...

10. I love mac and cheese
pancakes are just food, but the two together? :puke:

Usually the pix of obscene burgers or bacon sculptures just look good to me. that thing in the op is pretty gross. I would pick the bacon out before throwing it away, though.

5. Reminded me of this recipe
Of the three or so times I watched RR, I kinda got a stomach ache watching her prepare this. Too much sugar and fat!

Rachael Ray's Ooey Gooey Breakfast Bread

Cook bacon, drain & crumble
Preheat oven to 375º

1 can Grands biscuits

1 bottle Aunt Jemima Syrup

1 stick butter

1 lb. Bacon

Put 3 of the biscuits in bottom of a loaf pan.
Tear apart a fourth and fill in any holes.
Put 1/2 of crumbled bacon on top of biscuits.
Melt butter and syrup together over low heat and pour half of it over biscuits and bacon.
Tear apart the rest of the biscuits and put over top of the ingredients in the pan
Pour rest of syrup mixture over top of biscuits.
Put rest of crumbled bacon on top.

Bake for 25 minutes.
Flip pan over and put on plate

It might be pretty good if all of the biscuits are used, and half the amounts of each of the other ingredients, and real maple syrup!

6. What was that series of movies that Charles Bronson starred in............???
.
.
.
Oh, yeah.
.
.
.
Though I haven't had one for YEARS, I used to love love love McDonald's
Sausage, Egg & Cheese McGriddles (on maple syrup-infused pancakes --
with cheese?!?!?!?). I would actually add mustard to these unholy,
blessedly yummy aberrations.

Agreed on the doubtful yummaliciousness of mac-n-cheese pancakes (though
I like both items separately).

13. No, but it's close
Those hamburgers on a Krispy Kreme a just a tad more disgusting.

I might be able to handle those pancakes for dinner, but that's way too heavy for breakfast.

11. Maple Pancake and Bacon cookies -
Breakfast in a cookie!
From 410 cookies in San Diego (No shop, but they sell at several local Farmer's Markets and through boutique/mail order companies)-
http://410degrees.com/
They make savory cookies as well as sweet...

I also love their Lemon-basil-cherry-chip and Rosmary Balsamic cookies.

12. That is just way too sophisticated for me
I tend to keep is simple. I prefer just a fried egg sandwich on white bread and then wash it down with a Budweiser.
