1. I wept during much of the second reel
The dinosaur stampede, for instance, made me cry like a baby.

3. I wept at how ridiculously overblown the whole production was.
The only good King Kong was the 1933 original.

Jackson's was horribly overblown - no surprise there.

On second thought, I did also like King Kong vs. Godzilla, but that and the original are it.

But not as much as I did during his Lord of the Rings, or as much as I cry during those damn ASPCA ads with Sarah McLachlan.

I'm a slutty cryer. It's really not difficult.

10. Almost as bad as Dino DeLaurentis's version of the film.
But not quite as boring.

Nothing touches the original.

11. I am embarrassed to say it ripped me apart. But I appreciate the input of others.

Dino DeLaurentis' 1976 version was camp, IMO.

Yeah, I am a puss, I cried through Jackson's KING KONG. It took me completely by surprise, because the only reason I watched this film is to see if the special effects justified the budget. But I collapsed into the movie like a flea into a dog's coat. Even when I kept telling myself, "This is just a movie, a fiction," it made no difference. Yeah, embarrassed to say, I cried like a baby. Now I know there must be something wrong with me, lol.
