Celebrity political donations

I can spend an hour on it looking up people I know through business, but the fun part is the listing for celebrities and their political donations: http://www.newsmeat.com/celebrity_political_donations/index.php?li=a Some interesting trends emerge. As expected, Democrats lead by a huge margin. It also seems as if a large number of the GOP donors are dead, and often the folks who are listed as 100% GOP only gave a few hundred dollars (they list all donations over $200). LaHaye, the crazy guy who wrote the Left Behind series, is 1 out of 8; the last time he backed a winner was Reagan in 1980. Some can be misleading. Robert Duvall is 100% GOP, but his only donation was to McCain's primary when he ran against Bush in 2000. Looking back on it, a lot of us might wish we had helped McCain in that round. Also, check out the ones who have given over a million over the years; most seem to be movie directors. Sorry for the distraction.
