4. With Dire Straits known for some ferocious guitar work, calling this one my favorite
might be a little surprising:...

5. Sultans of Swing
Honorable mention to Money for Nothing, just for the lyric "What's that? Hawaiian noises?" :-)

I am not 100 percent sure that lyric is authentic, I know many things get changed, but from memory I think it sounds right.

Many you tubeclips are tweaked, if you remember the songs you can fix them in your head, pretty sure parts of Squire of Gothos was changed also. But the basic story and important comments were still in it.

I like sultans of swing, best, reminds me of an older style of music. And some great lyrics, although I like the version that drops one line that is not so good in it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SEULZIHru0 (and not sure what show it was gotten off of for it to have a rage in it, but I just think of it as our age, to avoid the bad parts of those thoughts.

I do like Money For Nothing, and the way it fits in with many things.

Basically watch the video, the guy jumps into the TV, that is the matrix like thing. Especially since the characters are obvious CGI. You can see the same thing in the Matrix film where the TV is used as an entry for many scene change overs. That concept is in many things, I often wondered if it was just a common story idea or what people wanted to present to people. It is possible many people believe that is existence. Or it is possible a group wants people to think that is existence. The 'matrix, show, or tron doctrine' is a common one for many to use for there view of reality, although it has a big despair component so I found things that show that concept as flawed.

This one is great also.
Ride Across The River.

The OP song post also has a couple changes in it, but I know the original lyrics, so it does not bother me.

12. I was surprised to read that they're British.
In The Sultans of Swing and The Walk of Life, they sound very American.

11. Sultans of Swing
Back in my commie kibbutz days, they always played that in the kibbutz Friday night disco. So now whenever I hear the song, I think of my years there. A good time back then in the early 80's.

14. my favorite: Dire Straits - So far away
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcnP5CjOy1Y

Here I am again in this mean old town
And you're so far away from me
And where are you when the sun go down?
You're so far away from me

You're so far away from me
So far I just can't see
You're so far away from me
You're so far away from me, alright

I'm tired of bein' in love and bein' all alone
When you're so far away from me
I'm tired of makin' out on the telephone
'Cause you're so far away from me

You're so far away from me
You're so far I just can't see
You're so far away from me
You're so far away from me, alright

And I get so tired when I have to explain
When you're so far away from me
See you've been in the sun and I've been in the rain
And you're so far away from me

You're so far away from me
You're so far I just can't see
You're so far away from me
You're so far away from me, take it down

So far away from me
Oh, you're so far away from me
Yeah, you're so far away from me
So far away from me

And you're so far away from me
So far away from me
So far away from me
You're so far away from me
You're so far away from me
So far away from me

So far away from me
You're so far away from me

Alright

You're just so far away from me
