Cat moves off menu, into home
When Buffalo police pulled over a car driven by Gary L. Korkuck on Sunday night, they heard a cat crying from inside the trunk. Officers investigated and found Navarro in a cage "marinating" in a mixture of crushed red peppers, chili pepper, salt and oil.

Korkuck, 51, of Cheektowaga, had adopted the cat from the SPCA in May. Korkuck allegedly told police the cat was "mean" to him, and he didn't want it anymore because it was "possessive, greedy and wasteful."

Clearly the SPCA did not do a good job of screening Mr. Korkuck. :(
Whenever someone comes in thinking about adopting a cat they should, at the risk of sounding dense, state the obvious fact that all cats will tend to be "possessive, greedy and wasteful." :P

1. Cats are possessive and greedy, true.
Wasteful? Nah. More like "waste full," based on some litter box evidence I've seen. :P

2. Kittens are pretty good at wasting
Fresh rolls of toilet paper. My bathroom looked like a confetti storm had hit for a few weeks when my cat was young. :)
