2. Though I've seen it plenty of times on cable,
I'm thinking there've been at least a few viewings as a "midnight movie" :D

4. That won't stop the ones that bounce off your gut,
roll to the floor and then get kicked under the seat, to end up wedged in the greasy rails until the car is scrapped :P

Yes, this was a reference-thread to Repo Man ;)

6. Did ya eat a lot of acid back in the hippy days, Miller?
Plate of shrimp.

When the movie "Young Guns II" filmed a couple scenes out here we got invited up to have lunch one day - so OF COURSE I took my copy of Repo Man for Emilio Estevez to sign. They were all into the western thing and were talking about living out on a ranch and all that mind set then the actual ranchers show up and want an autograph on a Repo Man tape. He laughed.

7. That's pretty cool :)
He sounds like a nice guy :D

I was wondering what he's been doing lately, too. It's been almost 30 years now since that movie came out. Makes me wonder what happened to all the other actors in it...

8. I have no clue
I know the guy that played Miller played basically the same odd mechanic in the first Vacation - when they break down in the desert.

Harry Dean Stanton was a god in that movie, I'm pretty sure he was in something more recent (Kali speak for sometime in the last 10 years)

We saw the Lobotomy guy in something, but I can't think of what it was. I don't do movies very much - that is my oldest son's passion. He would probably know.

Repo Man, Dark Star, and The Big Lebowski are the family "try to remember all the dialog from a movie" movies that we favor while traveling.

9. Y'all should include Firesign Theater quotes while traveling, too.
"All out for Fort Stinking Desert."

"It behooves me, 'pon this Historic Occasion, to dedicate the Stinkin' Desert National Historical Monument and Cobalt Testing Range!"

:P

"Come on, squeeze the wheeze." :D

At one time I had a negativland bumpersticker that said only "car bomb" but took it off in 2001. Otherwise I wouldn't mind having one for W.C. Fields Forever ;)

Ommmm...

Ommmm...

Rannnge...
