5. I have Haircut 100's album "Pelican West" -- it's a good album.
There are some good songs on it that never got airplay or MTV play.

I always liked The Alarm, too -- I never considered them "one hit wonders."

They've broken the Billboard Hot 100 in the US several times:

West End Girls (#1)
Opportunities (#10)
It's A Sin (#9)
Always On My Mind (#4)
What Have I Done To Deserve This (#2)

All ten of their albums (not counting remixes, compilations,etc) have charted in the top ten on the British album chart.

10. oh, there were so many......
MTV made the one-hit wonder a mainstay in music. If the video looked good and the song sucked, it was still a hit, but it was an awesome era in music.....
