When Diana Rigg is racing away from the beach at the start of On Her Majesty's Secret Service...
How, exactly, does she get the tires to screech not once, not twice, but three times on the sand?

1. Former showering stations with concrete slabs
left in place because the local government/council was too cheap to remove anything but the plumbing.

:P

3. Thanks :)
My first thought was barely buried limestone incursions, but that's not nearly as likely as the random concrete slab on the beach ;)

9. back around late '70 i saw Dianna Rigg do a nude scene is a play in London
seats were not good enough to really see anything
don't really think that scene was structured in a way where ANYONE could really see anything.

10. OHMSS is one of my fave Bond films.
And Lazenby's punch line at the end of that scene is classic: "This never happened to the other fellow."

11. Yeah, that surprised me!
I hadn't seen OHMSS in at least 20 years, and I'd totally forgotten that line!

13. Screeching sand is a well-documented scientific phenomenon
Edited on Fri Aug-20-10 04:20 PM by Amerigo Vespucci
I think Stephen Hawking did like a four-hour show on it once on PBS, during one of the fund drives. That means it was a 20 minute talk with three hours and forty minutes of begging for pledges and selling PBS tote bags, but what a powerful 20 minutes it was. I am moved to tears just thinking about it.

At least I THINK it was Stephen Hawking. And PBS. Maybe not. Or maybe it was Hawking and he didn't mention sand.

Don't do drugs, kids.

15. I love Diana Rigg
Edited on Fri Aug-20-10 06:17 PM by Patsy Stone
and I plan to return to Earth as Diana Rigg in my next life. She can do anything she wants. :loveya:

My biggest regret is that she was in the Lazenby one. It was a good movie, and he was fine, but I still feel cheated that she wasn't in one of the Connery ones.
