Making something go from bad to much worse - funny (text, not video)

My wife works at a private kindergarten that also has daycare rooms. In one of the four-year old rooms, a dad was getting ready to leave. As he headed for the door, he realized that he had set his keys down somewhere and couldn't find them.

He turned around, visibly upset and asked the teacher where they were (like it was her job to know). She had no idea so he started to say "Son of a BITCH!" Instead, he paused after "son of a", realized the next word was inappropriate and substituted another - it came out "Son of a.....SHIT!"
