My nephew's dog got out while he was away
and he was lost. My nephew put up flyers all around his neighborhood trying to find his lost dog. Someone called him and told him to quit messing up the neighborhood with the flyers.

My nephew should call that guy back at 2am and tell him all the flyers are picked up.

My nephew found his dog (because of the flyers).

The guy who called and complained must have been a republican.

1. Better...
call at 2am to say you're going to pick up all the flyers. Call again at 4am to say you're sorry you're not done yet. Call again at 5:30am to ask what you should do with the flyers.

Then, mail him a brick COD.

4. The neighbor is a genuine five star asshole. Bide your time.
You'll think of something to pay him back. Something funny and annoying but not actionable.

5. I'm glad he got his dog back.
I'm sorry he has an asshole for a neighbor though.

I hope the whole neighborhood knows that one guy is an asshole. And I hope the neighborhood makes him pay for it in many, many small ways.

6. We had a guy in our city complain the the high school
kids were tying school color shiny ribbons on the street poles--the kids did it whenever there was a big football game coming up, just to show school/team spirit. He pulled out some obscure city ordinance against putting unauthorized "signage" up on public poles. Mind you, the city had had no problem with it, just this guy.
