what goes on in Bertha's world today
Edited on Tue Aug-24-10 03:00 PM by Bertha Venation
I'm anxious - I'm frequently anxious, though. But today more than usual. I can't wait for my wedding day, but that's eagerness, and is causing me no anxiety. I can't wait to see my sisters, and that can be contributing to the anxiety because I have terrible fears about plane crashes.

The stress of having too many cats is growing. We've started using Feliway diffusers. Mrs. V. thinks they make a difference; I don't. But she works at home so she's in a better position to know. But GOD, they are getting on my last nerve, almost every one of them but especially Daddy. That cat lives to piss me off.

I detest my job. 'Nuff said on that subject.

I'm having a terrible time with weight loss. The weight is winning.

That about sums it up.

Anyone wanna go to a wedding reception?
:bounce:

Thanks for listening.

6. well, we might run out of food, but I don't care
I don't think there can be too many. (The deck was just rebuilt, so it should hold everyone...)

5. Good. Now settle back into your boring, old married life.
Isn't it your turn to haul the cans to the curb this week?

:P

7. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
AAMOF it is!

Not really. We don't take turns. I try to remember since I'm the only one who leaves the house to work and it's a simple thing for me to take the recycling out to the street from the garage. Yes, I try to remember to do it. Then Mrs. V. does it.

13. That's interesting, Thom --
I didn't even look at it as hiding it. Hmm. I don't know why I hid it. I certainly am trying to hide it from Mrs. V. She worries about me enough as it is.

 How are you these days?

14. I'm hanging on.
Days of rain are taking a toll. And I have to head out in this mess in a few minutes. :(

But mostly, I'm managing.

I hope Mrs V doesn't have too much reason to be worried about you. Hang in there until things are okay. :loveya:

Bertha

I had a hard run, runnin' from your window.
I was all night running, running, Lord I wonder if you care,
I had a run in, run around, and run down.
Run around the corner, corner, Lord run smack in to a tree.

I had to move, really had to move,
That's why if you please, I am on my bendin' knees,
Bertha don't you come around here anymore.

Dressed myself in green, I went down unto the sea.
Try to see what's goin' down, try to read between the lines.
I had a feelin' I was fallin', fallin', fallin',
I turned around to see,
Heard a voice al callin', Lord you was commin' after me.

I had to move, really had to move,
That's why if you please, I am on my bendin knees,
Bertha don't you come around here anymore.

Ran into a rainstorm, I ducked back into Novato.
It's all night pourin', pourin', pourin',
Lord but not a drop on me.
Test me, test me,
Test me, test me, test me,
Why don't you arrest me?
Throw me in to the jailhouse,
Lord until the sun goes down, 'till it goes down.

I had to move, really had to move,
That's why if you please, I am on my bendin' knees,
Bertha don't you come around here anymore.

I had to move, really had to move,
That's why if you please, I am on my bendin' knees,
Bertha don't you come around here anymore.
