Howdy from Corpus Christi, Texas, yeah I just packed my backpack and drove here yesterday.

I will drive back on Tuesday, need one more day a the beach.

Corpus is about a 5 hour drive, not bad.

I have Clear Mobile for the old laptop, works just fine.

6. I really like that area

Although I go a bit north to Port Aransas. I can land on the little airport there and the town has a trolley that takes you anywhere you'd want to go.

8. We drove down to Ocean Beach, MD last weekend had a great time, and then

when we got back, we found out my closest friend killed himself.

12. Wow! I was born and raised in Corpus. We practically lived

on Padre Island. When I was a kid my family along with about five other families spent almost every weekend during the summer on Padre. A good family friend owned trailers on the beach where we slept. The adults would sit around a campfire and we kids would lay on the sand checking out the big dipper and having a blast. I'll never forget those days. I hope you have/had an awesome time!

I went as far south as I could.

I needed a real beach.

The dog really had a good time, she needed the beach also.

My wife used to live there, we haven't been there in 14 years. They used to have affordable helicopter rides off of the USS Lexington. :hi:
