MiddleFingerMom's posts are, imo, funny, clever, well-written, & addictive. Bored with politics one day, I ventured into the Lounge & I was hooked after reading several of his posts. I understood the spacing was for timing purposes &, to me, it works for written comedy. I've been coming to the Lounge more & more & enjoying all the humor very much.

I've discussed elsewhere that I used to have a comedy/novelty
radio show here in Tucson and I would get calls from people
telling me what laughter did for them.
.
The BEST, most poignant calls came (several times a year) from
people either WITH terminal illnesses or their caregivers --
and we talked about the relentless weight that they were living
under -- and they told me for one hour a week, during my show...
that weight went ELSEWHERE.

I put 20 volunteer hours a week producing that one-hour show --
and tried to make it as funny, fast-paced, seamless, and interesting
as I could.

If those had been my ONLY listeners -- I would have gotten back
FAR more than I could have EVER put into it.

3. I second that emotion.

I come to DU to get info that I'm interested in, but I am a very, very verbally and visually oriented person, and I come to The Lounge to play and to laugh.

MFM is better than MGM or MTM for entertainment and teh funniness, has better taste than MSG, better attitude than Eminem, and provides more relief than an enema. No wait...
