1. I think it's revolting
to have a goal of cramming such massive "portions" into one human being. What's the point, exactly? I can't imagine this being acceptable in any other country.:puke:

3. I agree.

It's disgusting. It's dangerous to his health, whether it's the ridiculously huge amounts of food or the dangerously hot items. It showcases gluttony (while there are people who don't have enough food to eat). It's sickening. I've also noticed that the man doing it--I forget his name--has been getting fatter (not that I'm surprised). And he's so proud of himself when he 'succeeds' at cramming all the food down his throat in the short time allowed. Sickening. I also wonder if he ever gets sick after the show is over; that is so unhealthy.

Edited to add: I hate this show and would never watch it of my own volition; my boyfriend is a major foodie who can't get enough of these food shows--the weirder the better--so it's always on when I'm at his place. I try to ignore it and read, but he's always excitedly saying, "Look at that! Look at that!" etc.

2. I like it, but its one of those "Only in America" shows
It's funny though, because the restaurants he features, show up in other shows under different pretenses.

4. One of our guilty pleasures, I admit.
Adam's definitely getting heavier, though.

6. He's already lined up his next show, too
It'll document his triple bypass surgery. ;)

FTR, I'm still repulsed.

7. Sadly, Adam looks like he's put on about 80 lbs. in the last two seasons
I hope he doesn't kill himself for his art. :(

I love the places he goes to and he's got a great sense of humor...but at what cost!?!?! :scared:

8. At the quaint little dive where i work...
We've spent an unFSMly lot of time trying to devise a challenge worthy of Adam, as well as being something that the local students will give a shot at as well. Heck, i'm surprised that this place doesn't have one already.
