Anybody Just Watch The Springsteen Documentary on HBO?
The Promise: The making of Darkness on the Edge of Town? I'll admit, I'm a Springsteen fanatic...and it was amazing.

1. I wish. No cable. I hope it's still playing later this month when I'm in
hotels.

3. Yes, I think I read that.
I don't have that kind of disposable income, unfortunately.

4. I wanted to see it but I don't get HBO.
Maybe if HBO shows it again, I can catch it at my boyfriend's.

5. Don't get HBO, and have no real interest in getting HBO just to see Springsteen.
I don't worship music "stars".

9. Sorry that I interpreted being a "fanatic" with "worshipping a star"
But I thought those two were interchangeable.

7. Well, gosh
Thanks for your concern.

>I don't worship music "stars".<

I enjoy Springsteen's music. I've done so for over 30 years now. I also appreciate his financial and personal involvement in social issues, such as campaigning two years ago for Barack Obama.

It's unfortunate you can't allow others to enjoy something you obviously don't.

10. You are missing my point...
True, I said I don't worship "stars" or am not a "fanatic" about any musician. That's the way I am. Additionally, I would not pay any additional money for HBO/Cinemax, just to see Springsteen or the Sopranos or any of the other stuff the show. Not interested.

That being said, nowhere did I say that I did not like his music or disapprove of his involvement in social issues.

11. I didn't miss your point at all
Someone started the thread to express his or her happiness that they were able to see HBO's documentary on Springsteen and "Darkness On the Edge of Town". You arrived to make sure we all knew you disapproved. After all, you don't "worship" "stars".

Is it just so difficult to allow someone else an expression of enjoyment over watching something they were happy to see?

Why should I care at all about "how you are"? You don't seem to believe that others deserve the same respect or courtesy.

12. Heh!
I really don't care whether you care "how I am", not that I even asked you to.
