Can you name the TV show from a complete set of a family's children? Online test
Edited on Fri Oct-08-10 05:23 PM by Bucky
This turned out to be tougher than I thought. I only got 29 of 50 in 6 minutes and then sat stupid for the last 4 minutes of the test. It's here ==> http://www.sporcle.com/games/sproutcm/TVShowKids

and below (in the message, not in the subject line!) post the one you can't believe you missed.

1. 29 out of 50 and the one I shouldn't have missed (but still forgot about) was...
Little House on the Prairie. I'm so retarded. I got "Eight is Enough" (but that was a cheat, I just figured it was there).

4. I got 30 out of 50
The only one I can't believe I missed is Arrested Development. If they had used the name Buster instead of Byron, I think I would've gotten it.

Family Affair. I could name everyone on the show including Mrs. Beasley, and I still couldn't come up with the title.

although I admit, my wife helped, and after we got to 24, we just started guessing and putting in any tv show we could think of.

11. I got 31 of 50.
But the only ones I missed (largely lack of time) which I should have gotten were The Beverly Hillbillies and The Partridge Family. Eh, maybe shoulda got Home Improvement too.

Most of the shows I didn't get were shows I'd never seen, even in passing, and sometimes wasn't even aware of. There are a few I was surprised I missed. I knew which one was the show with the Olsen twins but I couldn't think of the name of the show, which I'd always hated and rarely seen. When I saw the name 'Meadow' I should have thought of the Sopranos but I didn't. And I missed Weeds, probably because I didn't know the baby's name was Stevie Ray. I don't believe I've ever heard them call him that. I never saw that list of kids on Cheers, nor do I remember any kids being on it; I assume that those were Carla's kids, perhaps mentioned once or twice?

15. your assumption is correct
Those are Carla's kids--most of them only mentioned once or twice, though a few had minor storylines over the years. Anthony showed up a few times with his girlfriend/wife, especially as they were trying to introduce a spinoff (The Tortellis) in which Carla's ex-husband, his new wife, and some of the kids move to Vegas.

Serafini was in a couple of episodes, played by Leah Remini (who later played the wife in King of Queens)--I think she either had a pregnancy scare or she actually was pregnant, can't recall for sure.

Gino appeared in a few episodes and had at least one major storyline--he told Carla he was going to be a priest, and she figured having a son as a priest was a "get out of hell free" card, meaning that she could be as rude as she wanted to be without any fear of divine retribution. Then at the end of the episode (SPOILER ALERT!) the kid has changed his mind and so Carla panics. This is the same episode where Cliff tries his hand at stand-up comedy.

Finally, Ludlow was the love-child that Carla had with a famous psychiatrist/professor who was a mentor to Frasier and Lilith. The precious little genius appears in a handful of episodes.

That's more information than you cared for, I'm sure. But I've spent way too much of my life watching and thinking about that show, so it's nice to finally have the knowledge be useful

16. Thanks.
I watched Cheers regularly when it was first on, then didn't really watch it much later. I probably wasn't watching anymore when all this went on.

The one I should have gotten but didn't was The Wonder Years, which was a favorite of mine as a kid. Also, I should have gotten Bonanza--I knew it was the Cartwrights and I knew that Michael Landon was in it, I just couldn't quite remember the series title.
