The Rusty Old Truck Resurrection Saga....continued
An update to the saga of the rusty old 1965 Chevy truck I'm giving a second life as a street rod. The original thread is here:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=9497595&mesg_id=9497595

It's moving forward slowly but surely, this week I got it back up on its feet
and drug it from where it was sitting up on to some firm and level ground. Put the hood back on today and found an old set of hubcaps while cleaning out the shed so I popped one on just for fun. Sanding and filling on the hood , grille and bumper start next weekend so it should start to look like something is finally happening lol.

I went by and visited my friend this week and took a look at his truck for inspiration :)

2. Thanks
Sometimes it seems it's moving along so slowly, I wish I could just work on it all the time...

8. I'm still kicking it around
As far as color goes, leaning toward candy apple red with flames that start out light yellow and progress to orange as they go back. Also thought about silver with deep purple flames. I'm waiting to see what I do with the bed and ride height before I make the decision on color. I think as it develops the look of the truck will point me to the colors it wants.
