Justin Bieber allegedly assaults a 12-year old in Vancouver BC

Just heard this on our evening news, from our local crime beat reporter. He's got more local sources than Starsky and Hutch, so I trust him. Unfortunately I can't find anything on the web yet, beyond tweets.

Apparently Bieber punched a 12-year old in the face at Planet Lazer (a laser tag place) in Richmond BC.

RICHMOND (NEWS1130) - Singing sensation Justin Bieber's name has been linked to an investigation underway in Richmond, after complaints of an assault at the Planet Laser Entertainment Centre.

"A 12-year-old boy was assaulted in a Richmond entertainment facility. The boy sustained minimal injuries and did not require medical attention at the time," says RCMP's Annie Linteau.

The 16-year-old Bieber is in town for a concert on Tuesday.

Bieber was probably playing Dance Dance Revolution or something and his hand may have lightly grazed the cheek of some kid who was crowding him, so mom takes this "brush with greatness" to some sleazy ambulance chaser who will be pursuing a $10 million dollar suit without any merit.

I think Bieber is too much of a namby-pamby to punch anyone, let alone a 12 year old kid. I mean, he's insipid, but I doubt he's evil.

11. Actually, Bieber's got a bit of history of being a shithead.

The sort of spoiled kid in "the business" who knows that the big powerful corporation that has billions in profits riding on him will make sure no shit sticks to him no matter what he does. So he pokes and prods and stirs shit and starts shit, then says "Who? Me?" like he's innocent.

He seems like exactly the sort who would sucker punch a kid because he knows he'd get away with it.

Unfortunately for him, someday his testicles and his voice are going to drop and he's going to end up an E! Hollywood True Life Story once big money stops covering for his ass. He lacks the talent, charisma and dedication to his craft to be a Justin Timberlake. He's got Lohan written all over him. The difference being that Lindsey Lohan* is actually a sweet if-entirely-divorced-from-reality girl with a massive drug problem whose foibles are the result of a fucked-up home-life growing up. Much like Drew Barrymore, she'll probably pull her shit together on the far side of 30 when she finally grows up.

*-Speaking from experience. Met her, roommate was a production assistant on some mediocre crap film she was doing a few years ago at the height of her fame. Much like how one treats wait-staff (and other service professionals) is a good metric of how good of a person one is, in the film industry how one treats PAs and other powerless fucks when one is a "star" and can get away with shitting on the little people for fun and spite is a good indicator of one's inner-self.
