Love at first sight.

We picked up our foreign exchange student at the
high school yesterday.

She's from Beijing (she's actually half Japanese,
half Chinese).

LOVE HER!

The other students have "westernized" nicknames, but she
didn't like hers...SPUNKY!!!!

She and my 15 year old are getting along great, but
at 14, she's led a much more sheltered life than my
daughter, so we have to be careful with what she
watches on TV (my kid's favorite show is "TrueBlood"!!).

We are seriously so LUCKY to have been matched with this
child.
