What effect is this (guitar content)

Anyway, what effect is the bucketed one using at the 4 minute mark? After looking around a bit it seems to be a Digitech Whammy?! Is this correct?

Silly question, but cut me some slack. I never used many effects besides wah and phaser, and think that expression is quite cool:)

1. Sounds like it to me too.

I haven't used a Digitech Whammy but I've seen it quite a bit in Satriani songs.

"Searching" and "Raspberry Jam Delta V" most specifically.

2. That is a very expensive pedal, even used

After some reading, it seems as though a similar effect can be achieved through other pedals while using an expression pedal.

Its maddening? :)
