In Performance at the White House: A Broadway Celebration, hosted by Nathan Lane and featuring a bevy of current Broadway stars, including veterans (Elaine Stritch) and newcomers (Assata Alston). Highlights for me included Idina Menzel's patented rendition of "Defying Gravity" from
Wicked and Audra McDonald's performance of Harold Arlen's "Happiness Is Just a Thing Called Joe" (one of my favorites).
