He's fine. Sorry I freaked out like that. X-rays did not show anything, just muscle sprain.

just the usual medical industrial complex encounter. always a drag. always.

Glad it is just a muscle sprain, though that can be, well, a pain in the neck. I had whiplash as a young person, ignored it for 30 yrs, and had to go for PT recently because of headaches, caused by my neck muscles. Arnica is a good external ointment or gel for muscle sprain, honestly, some MDs are using it now.

There's nothing like a hospital setting to bring out the worst fears, the dread of things to come. And then to find out it's minor, or at least it's a high probability of total recovery, well that's a huge relief.

Will it fix itself, or is there some physical therapy involved? I've gone through some physical therapy a few times. Always painful, and it always seemed to work, even if it took longer than I would have liked.
