Deleted messages

How about when someone breaks the rules, instead of deleting the message, just make it so it can't be replied to? Everytime I see "deleted message" I get super curious and want to read what was said to make it deleted in the first place. Anyone else?

If it is a personal attack, though, I can see why they wouldn't want those posts to stand. Float the idea in ATA and see what they say.

5. I always thought there should be a forum for deleted posts and (sub-)threads,

so we could all go peruse the wreckage.

I also think forums should be sortable on the lock symbol - it's such a pain to have to search through the pages for the remnants of the last night's flame war... :)

Direct insults can be deleted. But the other stuff stays, but you can't reply to it. Seeing "Deleted Message" always makes me wish I could have seen what was said.
