Have you heard about "trunk or treat"?

It's becoming a popular alternative to trick or treating at a lot of churches. Follow me for a moment...a lot of cars park around a field or a parking lot with their trunks open, full of candy for the kiddies to come around and reach inside for their "treats". This is somehow less creepy to some than knocking on a door? I fear the day when the story comes out of a pervert with a 79 Ford LTD and a dozen kids that go missing from an area. Those things had huge trunks and imagine he's parked at the edge of the church parking lot, a little kid tries to reach WAY into the cavernous trunk to fish out a Snickers when SLAM, the trunk shuts and the perv drives off. Trick or Trunking or whatever it's called sounds like drive-thru convenience for pedophiles.

As for me, I'm staying home injecting chocolates with LSD and grain alcohol  this year. Razor blades have become too expensive. Enjoy the Halloweiners and have a Ghoulish night.

1. The 1978 and 1980 models of LTD were okay...
It's the 79 model that is pure EEEEEvil.

Okay, I'm done being obtuse.

I've often thought the same thing myself. I'm not sure what these churches are so scared of. Trick-or-Treating is not dangerous if the parents will use some common sense.

Your daughter is 12 and dressed as a slutty nurse? It's best not to send her out alone to trick-or-treat, dontcha think?

And all the business with tainted candy and razorblades and syringes and whatnot? I don't remember a single case of it happening... just fearmongering from the local news.

2. Silly rabbit, the dosed chocolate is for personal consumption
I might share, but only with kids younger than 10 who have a really excellent costume.

3. Some do it here...
I have never seen it so it sounds kinda silly to me but it is very popular here. A friend was telling me that she got signed up to do it and then found out she is supposed to decorate her car and trunk AND dress up herself in order to give out candy.
