Here at Chez Flaxbee, for 2011, we have had a stinkbug resurrection

Two stinkbugs lingered long after the rest had died ... I didn't mind having the two little bugs around the house - in fact, it got quite interesting to see how long they'd live inside / in warmth during the winter.

Well, the first guy died last week, and his buddy gave up the ghost late last night and was feet-up on the kitchen window sill. I tossed him outside this morning.

But lo! And behold! After kissing my husband and drinking some champagne not 15 minutes ago, I walked over to my desk to find - a stinkbug! On the keyboard!

Where did he come from? Is it a miracle? Is 2011 the Year of the Stinkbug? What does it portend? :hi:

1. Have you noticed that the cats will not go near them? Especially Sonia...

Our daughter makes this bizarre noise when she sees a stink-bug.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That wavers over a couple of octaves.

ETA: Happy New Year!

2. Yeah, we have six and the stinkbugs traveled anywhere they wanted
with impunity.

I think they look neat, like walking shields, and have never detected any 'stink'.

Do you still have them up in Md?

4. Yeah. We have them. They had disappeared for a while, but the last
couple of days I have flushed a half dozen down the terlit!

Sonia is sitting next to me as I type this as she watches her brothers squirrel around on the stairs.

:hi:

5. they seem to make a reappearance when it warms up
I've seen a few, too. I was hoping they weren't the offspring of previous stinkers... :scared:
