1. When I first lived with my ex-girlfriend...

...we had a pet rat in our apartment because she really wanted a cat but the place didn't allow pets. This rat was cool...but the lifespan was a hell of a lot shorter than I would have expected. One day, when she had it out of the cage and it was scampering around, it went "BOINGGGG!" straight up in the air about a foot, did an in-air somersault, landed on its back, and...off to Rat Heaven©.

He was called "Rattone" after the line in the movie "Night Shift" about moving to nicer houses and not having to live with the rattones and mouses.

I can only imagine that Rattone is scarfing down gi-normous Cheez-Its every day.

Oh, it's a prejudice, I'll allow. But I used to work in Duke U.'s research labs and had to inject rodents with various nefarious and otherwise hilarious substances, and let me tell you a hamster can turn around inside that little pelt and take a piece out of you faster than you can say "amyloidosis."
