I really need advice. Does anyone know of any car insurance
companies that will insure high-risk drivers. I really, really, need some help here. Thanks for any suggestions you can give.

3. Have you Googled for car insurance quotes?
You will get plenty of hits and some companies will be begging for your business. At least, that's what I did when I decided to switch insurance. But I was not a high risk, just one speeding ticket. But that cost me dearly.

4. Call an independent insurance agent, get some quotes.
There are some companies that specialize in insuring high risks, for higher premiums, of course.

Just be upfront with an agent, and ask her for quotes from a few different companies.

6. Thanks so much, guys. You give me hope. Some of the
companies you've suggested I've never heard of so I can do my investigating if it comes to that. Also, it's comforting to know that there are agencies out there who are looking for business (even high-risk). I realize, of course, that the premiums could/will/whatever be substantial but I'll pay what I need to in order to get the insurance. Also, thanks for the idea regarding finding an independent agent who knows about these situations. I'll delicately ask around for referrals. I'm in a situation where I can only confide w/one friend regarding this issue as she and I have had similar paths. I can't tell any of my other friends or family. That's one of the many things that makes DU so incredibly awesome. I don't mean to sound corny but it's wonderful to be able to come to this special place and get some answers.
