Can you measure your intoxication level by your musical taste?
Yep, I've found it's best measure for me. If I'm at a party playing rap or crappy dance music and I start liking it, I am clearly too drunk to drive. When I'm drunk is the only time anything by Ke$ha is even remotely tolerable for example.

1. When I drink, I find my annoyance factor goes up tenfold.
So when Ke$ha starts playing, I throw stools and chairs out windows.

2. In some cases you can
For instance, if you think Rebecca Black sounds good you should check yourself into the hospital right away because you've been drinking antifreeze again.
