So here's a light-hearted DU story for you.

You read a lot here (if you visit other forums) about how civility has been lost and how there's a lot of rancor all over DU. Well, I'd like to tell a little story about DU being a place of camaraderie.

A few months ago, I mentioned in someone else's celebratory thread that I was looking for a job in the IT field. That DUer gave me a few very helpful suggestions, one of which paid off just yesterday. As of next week, I can call myself one of the gainfully employed once more, and I owe that fact in no small part to the DUer who put me on the right track.

I've already PMd that DUer a thank-you, but after doing so, I thought it might be nice to share this story with the community.
