Iowa man does a beer and water only diet for Lent
An Iowa man has decided to do something interesting for Lent this year.

CORNING, Iowa - Instead of giving something up for Lent, a central Iowa man is only drinking beer.

J Wilson is from Corning. On Ash Wednesday, he pledged to live though lent only on beer and water. And with Easter just days away, he's made good on his promise.

And if you were expecting a beer belly, you won't find it. He's lost 22 and a half pounds, and is feeling good.

"My energy is high," Wilson said. "I can do anything. I can go out and chop wood right now. "

The article goes on to say he would drink five beers a day. That would be less than 1,000 calories a day.

1. Big fat hairy deal. I did that most of my senior year in high school.
It didn't have anything to do with Lent, and I only drank water when I ran out of beer.
