I'm having a 1/4 life crisis. I don't know what to do with myself.

Like I literally don't know what to do with my future. I'm going to graduate in a year or so with, most likely, a BS in political science. A mediocre gpa around 3.25.

Do I go out into the job market with what I have? I mean, what exactly is a political science degree good for?

Do I go to graduate school? For what? Law school? Am I willing to commit myself to the work-load of law school?

I just don't have the faintest idea what I'm doing.

1. There is something called the port of entry theory in labor economics. It matters how

you enter the workforce. Try and up our 'game' so you can get a good job in the field.

I would volunteer exactly where you want to work right now. Do it for 3 or 6 months (working somewhere else part time if you need the money). Then you have great experience and references and a much better idea of how you will fit in in that field. Better to know early what the benefits/hold backs on a poly sci degree will be than to suffer anxiety. You could also do information interviews (where you call up someone knowledgeable and book 1/2 and hour interview with them to pick their brains on your chosen field and how to get into the business of politics). 2. Stay in school as long as you possibly can.

Yes, get that law degree. It's absolute murder out there trying to get a job, and if you're fresh out of college with no experience, it's borderline impossible.

3. LOL, Join the club. I've been having one of those for the past 2 years.

I'm asking myself the same damn questions. Changed my major from Biotech to Linguistics, and I am thinking of changing again to Psychology. I'm a natural "therapist" type, like helping folks, and you can't outsource psychotherapy.
