NEW BOWIE!!! NEW BOWIE!!! NEW BOWIE!!!
Well not that new

Back in 2001 Bowie wanted to release his new album, 'Toy' which was a back to basics album in the line of the forthcoming 'Heathen' and 'Reality.'

The record company said no, and it sat on a shelf for 10 years

Now someone has 'leaked' the album (Ground Control to Major Tom, was that you?)

It's fantastic! As good as 'Heathen' and better than 'Reality'

Starts off with 'Uncle Floyd', known on Heathen as 'Slip Away.' This version is much more in line with the lyrics (its about a NYC kids show from the 70's)

Next into 'Afraid,' another 'Heathen' song

I don't have too much time to finish this, but I'll just say go find it. Get the torrent and download it.

1. Is it about toy doctrine?
That doctrine is in many places, but it assumes an intent, and a purpose.

People being nothing more then play things.

Pet doctrine is a step above that, since it has the 'toy' being a living thing.

Then 'friends' doctrine, corrects those errors by removing the presumed superiority complex.

The main reason those doctrines form is they can create despair, and also since any power when seen conveys the possibility of control, hence why knowing free will exists is so important, it removes possibility of toy or pet doctrine, but fits in friends doctrine.

The thing I had to realize is that anything with power will be presumed to be controlling if you have fear, since that possibility exist by the power, but if you find the right concept of existence, you also see dignity and free will. Where when there is power there is also forms of respect.

If you see power, you can create the fear of control, and I see that also with constructed synchronicity.

It is also why I don't look to infringement on free will for things like beer and travel money, nor turn to those that could force that occurrence by theft of free will, but rather believe in concepts of education, knowing that becuase it is just and compassionate beer and travel money will occur.

5. You're kind of winning me over here, RT.
I use other metaphors but I think you're onto something.

3. Most of the songs are from 40 years ago, only updated.
Not complaining; 'In the Heat of the Morning' and 'The London Boys' are old favorites. Bootlegs of these recordings have been circulating among Bowie-philes for years.

4. Well yeah...I find it interesting he's going back to his Early Pop roots
He pretty much disowned his first album until recently

But still, as far as 'new Bowie' goes, its not bad
