Who else misses Space: Above and Beyond?
I didn't care for it when it was on originally, then as I watched the reruns of it on Sci-Fi I grew to love it.

Why coulden't SciFi make more new episodes of Space instead of Andromedia?

3. I miss it at least once a month
It was a really good show, and a hell of a better production, and more compelling, than Starship Troopers. Learning to live through the hell on a weekly basis with the troops was much more engrossing.

I will never think of "I Walk the Line" quite the same again.

4. There were good aspects to it
The battles were great, the plot was going somewhere, and the show had a lot of potential.

Potential that was ruined, IMO, by the music. The music was just so blatantly, obviously trying to swell the emotions...instead of being put in the mood, it was like getting hit in the head with a hammer.

Also, they never shut up about the Marine Corps. Yadda-yadda-yadda, we get it already, okay?

My memory of the show is limited (I was still smoking pot then), and I haven't seen it since its original airings. But the impression I got overall was that they were treating us like half-wits, a potentially awesome TV show that was ruined by a painful attempt at appealing to the common denominator. Shows that appeal to the common denominator are rarely successful, and even more rarely any good.

5. Hell yes!
Remember the christmas special they did? That show was spooky.
