I miss my grandmother Chisholm today. She would have been a great sounding
board for this Weiner stuff. She was born in 1898 and always had the most sage advice. When I explained the internet to her, before she died at 103, she claimed she wanted a turkey wing sent to her by internet before she would believe it. I remember asking her about communism back in the 1980s. She said she wasn't afraid of communism since the revolution happened when she was 18 years old. She said, like the Nova Scotian she was, that she was more afraid of AMERICANS!!!!

1. Did she get that turkey wing? I remember explaining
Google to mine, and about once a week she would give me her "google list" and I would gather whatever info. she desired, she just thought it was the greatest.
She and my mom are gone now, but I did spend the evening with some young adults 20s-30 and they were all appalled by Weiner's actions and disrespect for his office.
They all vote Dem and 2 of them did much volunteering for VT's new Dem Gov.Peter Shumlin.
No pity from them and all 5 of them want him gone, the between him and his wife didn't fly with them and they said that he represents the party, not just his district.

Do you have any idea what your grandmother would say about all this?

And some great songs.

And before that they had girls in bikinis dancing on a show called laugh in.

And before that they had skimpy girls as Vegas show girls

And before that they had some some roaring 20s shows that were pretty riske for the time.

Used to be dancing girls in Rome, and far worse stuff becuase most were slaves, not just economic pressures like some are in today.

And there used to be dancing girls in all the courts of the older houses, but that is many years ago.

And most of those people don't actually admit what they think, and talk about it for the same reason some people have conversations on a computer about that. Personally I never understood flirting by text, seems something would be missing in that.

3. I don't think I would have gone into detail about the underwear. I think I just
would have liked what she would have said about losing a hero. First it was Eliot Spitzer and now Weiner. I had hopes that both of them would run for president one day... and now those hopes are dashed. I think I just want a hero in my future (I often think ahead) and since she certainly was one of my heroes I think of her tonight.

4. I'm with you on Spitzer and Wiener.
Two men who really could have made a difference. Clinton too, for that matter.

Sometimes I really despair for my country. I know the powers that be will try to take down any good man or woman who stands against their interests. But why do we always have to make it so easy for them?
