I was travelling through Greece when they were filming it in 1981. Before crossing from Italy to Greece on the ferry, they arranged for all the ships in Brindisi to sound their horns for a shot. While in Greece, I kept seeing postings in hostels and guesthouses for extras. I was always a day too early of late.A couple years later while working on a kibbutz in Israel, they showed it. If Greece had been anything like shown in the film, I never would have continued travelling.
