Waah, waah, waahhh, "My fiance" this, "my fiance" that, waah, waah. You want something to cry about Rachel? My pool picks were Evel Dick and LaWon the Clueless, so I'm already out of the money. They haven't talked about Dick at all, so I'm wondering if he didn't have to go back home to wear an ankle bracelet or if he had Hepatitis C or something. Except for that one little cameo about his take on the season so far, they've had nothing about him.
I think Shelley made a good move, confronting Rachel in front of folks like she did. If Shelley had laid low, I think the household opinion would have set itself against her, and let Rachel off the hook. By facing off with her, Shelley was able to spread the animosity around. It was very telling when Brendan said he didn't want to comment or get involved. In the broadcast, Rachel began to say that Brendan's reluctance to talk made it look like Rachel was a big fat liar. The comment got cut off, and I don't know if anything more came out of that. But I agreed with Rachel, that by failing to "get involved," Brendan was bolstering Shelley's credibility.
There have been a lot of twists and turns so far, with coalitions and alliances coming together and flying apart. If Brendan is voted out tonight, I think the Jeff/Jordan/Shelley triumvirate becomes the power locus, at least as long as Jeff trusts Shelley. But he's so suspicious of everyone and everything, if Shelley says something that Jeff deems to be insufficiently obeisant, she could be next on the chopping block.
