If you are, the emptiness probably stems from the fact of not feeling really heard in the first place. (Which would be entirely ironic given some of the responses here). Also, depends on the question, I would imagine.

I think I knowwhatyoumean. Sometimes when someone listens, really listens to your question and answers your question with another question, it could be to maybe shed a little light your way to consider something that maybe you haven't thought of yet...given of course, that you respect their input and sense that they have your best interests at heart.

Most times though, I think that people just want to be understood without judgement and know that they are simply heard and taken seriously and usually - that is enough.
